IP Configuration

Many hosting services run off of one IP address and reroute the user to the contents of your web site on their server.  This is not as quick as directly applying an IP address to each web site.  At Great Northern Technologies, we don't cut corners.  You get your own IP address.  This also allow us to set up your web site before you get your Domain Name or Transfer you Domain from another location.

Web Access

Your ability to access to your site is very important to us and should be to you as well.  Because of our DNS service setup and independent IP usage, you can access your site via IP address or Domain Address.  And since we have FrontPage 2000 extensions loaded on our server as well as FTP services, you can access your site a number of ways.

Security

Security is a two edge sword.  You want to make sure that you have access to do all the things you need to do at your site, but do not want unauthorized access to your site.  We always make sure that our clients have complete administrative access to their sites.  We also test your site to insure that there is no unwanted access as well using Microsoft's NT Security System.  Our clients often have special request regarding security.  Our company philosophy of being flexible to our customers needs applies when setting up your security needs.

SSL is a key part of what we do at Great Northern Technologies, from E-Commerce to sensitive back office company information, we provide the SSL from Verisign to insure that your data is 128bit Encrypted when passing over the Web.

Data Backup

Being in the electronic data business for 15 years has taught us the importance of data backup.  We are religious about making a complete system backup on a weekly basis of all our web sites and databases.  If this is not often enough for you, we can adjust our backup schedule to fit your needs.
